The finished product!

Hello everyone!

The purse is finished! I have fallen in love with it. It turned out just as I thought it would. It makes me feel so great when I can take my finished projects out into the world to share them with others. Not to mention that it was so easy to do. Maybe I won't tell everyone that ;) I can't wait to use it...now what to wear with it? If only I had a jean skirt and a pretty ruffled top to wear to match. Hmmmm...sounds like a new project in the making.

I think this top would be perfect! Doesn't it look like it would be easy to make? Just a couple of strips, some elastic at the top, easy peasy right?? Add a nice pair of jeans or a jean skirt and away we go. I think it sounds like the perfect outfit!

Denim Ruffle Purse

Good morning!

I thought that you might enjoy seeing the ruffle purse that I am making. Of course it is made with denim and I am falling in love with it. I haven't quite finished it yet but you can't really tell from the picture. All the ruffle gluing is taking longer than I thought. Why is it that when you dream these things up in your head they seem so easy. Just a little cut here and a little glue there, so simple right. It is fairly simple actually, just took a little more time than I thought.

Here is how it looked before I started. Well, to be honest, I had already started to paint the sides and then I realized that I hadn't taken the before picture. That is way too much silver!

Now paint, paint, paint all the sides that aren't going to be covered with the denim.

Now cut, cut, cut all your strips into 2" wide pieces. Bye, bye blue jeans.

Glue all the strips to the purse with a hot glue gun and scrunch as you go along. There it is! A beautiful ruffled jean purse!

I Love You Cowboy!

This is a card I made for a couple of challenges. I decided to make it a western style card to give to my favorite Opa. I love to use blue jeans and I knew he would love the horses so here is what I came up with.

This card is in five challenges:

1: Use one ribbon, two squares and something sparkly The Pink Elephant

2: Use the mojo monday sketch Mojo Monday week 102

3: No stamped images allowed Allsorts challenge week 6

4: Use the colors blue and brown Everybody-Art-Challenge 55

5: Use texture Whimsy Stamps Challenge 17
